This is a sample of all 121 blocks in the Civil War Diary Quilt. I doubt I'll get all of them made - but there is a good chance at least half will be made. These blocks and their stories are remarkable. I just can't imagine living during that time.
I am the youngest of four girls. I grew up on a farm farm in Northern Illinois. My parents worked as farmers and our farm was in the von Ohlen family for nearly one hundred years.
It is fair to say I'd rather ride my pony than anything else.
I am blessed with two wonderful children, Sean and Kari and a very special little Grandaughter, Grace. I also have a wonderful son in law - Josh who loves Kari very much.
I love life, laughter and good friends.
I try to be to others the friend I myself would like to have.
My creative juices flow from time to time and when I'm sitting at my sewing machine, I find great piece!! :) Maybe that should have said pieces. Nothing makes me happier than working on a special project.
